Another week of Game of Thrones and it is time to see what drama everyone can drum up for themselves. We have a brand new King, Lord of the 7 Kingdoms, he seems like a much better kid then Joffrey was. Of course Cersei doesn’t appreciate the cute shy eyes that Joffreys widow is making; however she makes a surprising move in making an alliance with her.
Meanwhile Dani is having a little trouble of her own, she wants to take Westeros however the cities she has freed and left behind are slowly being overtaken again. Instead of taking the course of going to Kings Landing and taking it from the weakened Lannisters she decides to “do was Queens do” and rule. A wise choice if she does ever hope to hold the 7 kingdoms.
Meanwhile Littlefinger and Sansa are making their way into the vale once again. The whole situation there is a little like you would expect, odd. The young Lord is still sitting on his Mother’s lap, and gets introduced to Sansa. Littlefinger looks like he finally must marry the Lady he can’t find a way to wiggle out of it this time and it’s this time we finally found out it was him and her who killed her former Husband. After a wedding night the Lady decides to give Sansa some treats and they have a jealous attack of did you sleep with my Husband are you carrying his child, yeah things seem to be the same in the Vale.
Brienne meanwhile is trying to get rid of her new squire who can’t ride a horse so that does add a little humor into things. As does the scene where Arya tries to stab the Hound, little bits here and there that give is a glimpse at things. Amusing but not always exactly relevant to the big stories at the moment, that is one thing that can be a problem these days they have so many stories going at once.
Meanwhile beyond the wall Bran is in captivity still but his friends have more messages for him, that this is not the end. There is more for him to do and they will get out. The man helping the Nights watch move in to take over what’s happened has suggested they stay away from the hut, the hut that Bran is in we can only hope that Jon sees through that. When the Watch attacks they start taking over well, unfortunately our betraying friend gets to Bran and his friends first and takes Bran again. Hodar however catches up with the man and saves Bran after killing the vile man, way to go Hodar. Bran is so close to seeing Jon but is talked out of it, instead they go to free Summer and go. After a helping hand from one of the Daughters Jon gives our not so friendly Doctor Owen Harper (Torchwood anyone?) another hole that goes from the back of his head through his mouth, well done Jon. In the end he also gets Ghost back and they burn the keep to the ground. Game of Thrones does know how to throw a good bonfire.
