Inspired by a visit by our Head of Design to the Cappuccini Catacombs, Palermo, Sicily; we found the catacombs rich in contextual history. This design pays tribute to the garments being worn by its residents and is a very dark take on our life inspired Femme-A-Licious Collection. It is a homage to the desire to be preserved for eternity in one’s Sunday best. This dress is the epitome of stylised-macabre with direct historic reference.
This dress is very much a one-off design and features a cameo neck, a coffin-shaped semi-transparent black latex front panel trimmed in latex and complete with white latex bone detailing – it is totally fabulous! Each detail is cut by hand. We will leave the dead alone, for now.
