To Die for Dior: Spring-Summer 2013 Couture Show

Is there any woman (or man) alive who can resist Christian Dior? Well I don’t want to know about it if they can.

This years Spring-Summer Couture show highlighted some of Dior’s signature cutting edge designs. Check out these vids of Dior’s most recent show. Featuring a colorful palette of orangey reds, pale pinks, and one of the most amazing floral designs (did you see that coat? Or the lacy arm warmers?) Dior doesn’t disappoint. The interesting new hemline on the super-fitted blood orange hued sheath with the silver back cut outs and superb back drape, and the way he dared to  mix brightly colored tights with shiny metallic two toned pumps took my breath away. Some of the silhouettes and the color blocking were underwhelming, and there were even some designs that I think would have gotten voted off Project Runway (but who am I to judge?), but over all Dior is always a delight.

I love a show that makes me feel like I wear the dress right off the runway, like that satin blazer over that floral detailed gown. From the stroll in the park runway set, to the bright glittery lip, this show was a hit all the way through.
