Face Off Season 6 Episode 6

Tuesday and it means that it is time for face off again and this week we start right off in a foundation challenge. Guest judge Howard Burger the artists are teamed off and must create a lead Orc warrior and 9 members of his clan and they only have 2 and a half hours to do this. If a viewer has ever wanted to know what kind of chaos happens when there are a lot of extras to do for those big war scenes, I suspect it looks something like this, an Orc assembly line. Many of the make ups really turned out well with Orcs I would not want to face on the battle field, with the winning team being Corrine and Matt with the overall winner taking immunity Corrine.

The spotlight challenge has everyone teamed up again and we will be looking into the world of Bigfoot’s and Nessie, each team must create their own cryptid creature. The artists get a surprise when Doug Jones shows up to give them tips as to what an actor looks for when playing a creature. The teams head to the lab after doing some drawing and get off to work, some of them doing better than others. Daran and Cat and Corrine and Matt seem to be the two teams having a little bit of trouble with the direction they want to go, communication is key and something neither team seems to be doing well at the start. Day two we see another good show of team work from the teams when everyone bands together to get a massive mold opened up and cleaned before the clock runs down. It may be a competition but it is always great to see a helping hand being lent among teams.

Application day dawns with Daran and Cat still not getting along and Matt making an extra piece because he is worried that they have gone too subtle. Other then these two teams everyone else seems to be getting along and getting the work done. The end results for everyone? Pretty good over all, some make ups had what I felt were some poor color choices like Cat and Daran, you can see why she is not happy with it. However others really seemed to knock it out of the park both in design and paint like Chloe and Tyler, spawning my favorite judge’s comment of the season, “I really want to see Captain Kirk fight this thing.” So what did the judges think this week? Tyler and Chloe became the top team of the night with the winner being Tyler. While Daran and Cat and Matt and Corrine became the bottom team, with Matt being sent home since Corrine had immunity. Do you agree with the judges this week?
