Game of Thrones 31 Two Swords

It is the time of year we have all been waiting for eagerly, Game of Thrones is back. The opening after our reminder of the terrible events of the red wedding and everything else from last season show us the Elder Lannister man melting down a sword and appearing to recast it while also burning what looks to be a wolf skin on the fire. After the credits Jamie is holding a valerian steel sword in full armor and looking much better then when we last saw him. He wants to continue being a Kings guard while dear old Dad is trying to send him away; he of course refuses saying he will maintain his oath.

While the only Lannister who seems worth his salt Tyrion is out and greeting people who are coming in for his Nephews wedding. Meanwhile another player on the field does not like the Lannisters (who really does?) and despite nearly taking off a man’s hand, Tyrion gives him a welcome like he was supposed to. Our new Prince has a heady warning for Tyrion, that the Lannisters are not the only ones who pay their debts.

Meanwhile the Mother of Dragons finds herself with three much larger very hungry and grumpy dragons. They fight over food and even snark at her when she tries to touch them while they are. She gets the warning that Dragons can never be tamed not even by their Mother. While when she calls her men to muster she finds that greyworm is off gambling. This gambling turns out to be holding a sword up to see who drops it first, she informs the men that they can ride in the back and the last man holding his sword can find a new Queen to fight for, both of them promptly drop the swords.

Tyrion continues on his day trying to comfort Sansa and get her to eat, but given how her family was killed and she was informed there is little help. Meanwhile Jamie is fitted for a new golden hand, he comments it isn’t practical but of course his Sister says it is elegant. Cersei proves again what a cold one she is when she informs Jamie that he took too long to escape being a prisoner.

Meanwhile near the wall we have an army building and talking about eating crows and back in the wall Jon is as many suspected alive, healing not perfectly well but alive. News of his family’s death has reached him as well. He now has to answer for what he did while he was with the wildlings and how he came to be with them. They want to put him to death while he tells them that Mance and his army is coming to them ready to take on the wall.

There are some more moments at Kings landing with Sansa and the Knight who is now a fool and Jamie talking about Sansa. When we finally catch up with Arya she is still riding on the horse with herself proclaimed guard, and complaining about wanting her own horse. When they stop in a tavern for some food the hound of course gets into a fight, which after some trouble and help from Ayra he wins and she get some vengeance taken care of and her own horse to ride on the way out of town.
