Deirdre hooded dress cloak velvet lace

via Rose Mortem

A velvet-clad shadow moves silently through the leaf-laden paths of an ancient forest. The Faerie know a kindred soul, and dance softly as she passes…she will only love a man with hair the color of the raven, skin as white as snow, and lips as red as blood…

In homage to the tragic Deirdre of the Sorrows, we have crafted the Deirdre Hooded Dress Cloak. The design features gently clinging stretch velvet construction with a dramatically plunging neckline, accented with generously cut lace godets in the skirting and in each cuff. An oversized hood completes the look.
Unless otherwise requested, black lace will be used for all velvet colors except white, where white lace will be used.

Please note that lace motifs may vary; the lace shown may be substituted for a similar floral lace if unavailable. The lace is UNLINED, so please note that some degree of skin may show through if an under-dress or slip are not worn beneath.

Colors: I have several color options available including but not limited to black, white, ivory/creams, reds, purples, golds, greens, browns and blues. Please do inquire about colors you may be searching for; I will be glad to help you find your perfect color!

Fabrics: Although stretch velvet is my favorite medium and my velvets are very soft and breathable, I realize that velvet is not for everyone. So, I also create any of my stretch velvet designs in lovely four-way stretch cotton upon request. There is no price per yard difference for creating this design with stretch cotton instead of stretch velvet, so pricing remains the same. A wide spectrum of colors are available in stretch cotton as well as stretch velvet.
