How To Destroy Angels – How Long?

Here’s another enjoyable video from How To Destroy Angels. This single is also included in their upcoming debut record, Welcome Oblivion.

Directed by Shynola, which is a three man group of visual artists from London; the video is done with a monochromatic grayish/black feel.

It features a man, who seems to be an outcast of sorts. He is seen painting himself in white and haunting the fields. He eventually bumps into a stranger. One moment he’s up there on the mountain waving a hello to the stranger and next he’s bum rushing him and choking him to death. He takes his possessions, wraps the stranger’s body and then proceeds home where he is seen taking care of a woman.

The cinematography for the video is breathtaking with the music, particularly Mariqueen’s vocals, sprinkling melancholy in the background. It’s definitely a cerebral at the same time emotional video.
