Cradle of Filth – Frost on Her Pillow

Cradle of Filth is a band you don’t mess with. Their most recent record, The Manticore and Other Horrors carries this dark, somewhat whimsical musical video for Frost on Her Pillow. I say “whimsical” only because if you’re a fan of old fairy tales you’ll probably recognize a few nods on here.

Weaving their own twisted tale, these English metal boys create a dark and often psychotic imagery of the band in masks while rocking out. There are several ladies, one of which echoes the story of Rumpelstiltskin as the lady spins in her spindle. She pricks herself and dies. She is then placed inside a glass coffin, similar to that of Snow White. Another lady in red shows up, her long flowing blood red gown is reminiscent of that of Little Red Riding Hood.

It’s an extreme video filled with beautiful Gothic imagery. Of course, if you’re not into loud (ahem, extremely loud) music, then best lower down the volume. Your ears might bleed to death. Enjoy!

The Manticore and Other Horrors is OUT NOW in North America via Nuclear Blast USA.
