Coheed and Cambria – Dark Side Of Me (Official Video)

Whether you like them or not, there’s no doubt Coheed and Cambria have made a name for themselves in their own little rock niche. Actually, the band borders on emo, rock and punk and pretty much fiddle across from those genres. Their latest record The Afterman: Descension carries this track.

The Dark Side of Me is a fairly simple but intense video. What’s been at the forefront of Coheed and Cambria’s sound is lead singer Claudio Sanchez’s unique, high pitched vocals (and of course, his hair.) The track itself is semi quiet and complements the eerie presence of a female form whose face is fully covered with rags or what seems like odd hair. Some of the most unsettling scenes include images of Sanchez with the creature and its birdlike claws fixating on the vocalist’s trademark hair.

As for the song itself, it’s quite catchy. Despite the slow tempo, the band manages to place their solid instrument work and signature melodies. Check it out and see if you like it.
