Sensory Deprivation Skull

Back in 2007, artist Joep van Lieshout created this Sensory Deprivation Skull. This seems like the perfect place to relax and center yourself after a busy day out in the world. I would love to add some speakers to pump in some white noise, or metal, depending on your preference. This Skull was limited to ten pieces and there’s no telling where they ended up. Kudos, you ten lucky people.

This small skull is inspired by the Study Skulls and other Skulls Joep van Lieshout made in the late nineties. Making use of the minimal space needed for the body to relax this unit opens out to reveal a room in which the user can escape the sensory clutter of modern life.
