Face Off Season 6 Episode 2

Another Tuesday and that means it is time for Face Off. This week we start off with our artists having to go into a corn field and all you think at first is children of the corn. Of course that is not the case when they get to a crop circle with Mackenzie in the middle along with brief cases they are told that this week they will be doing out of this world make ups using specific crop circle message as their inspiration.

While some teams seem to hit the ground at a fantastic run getting along and being synced right away, Cat and Matt are struggling to come up with a concept that they both like. They use all of their time in the field and still do not have a drawn concept it is not until they are in the lab and working in clay that they come together with an idea, putting them behind. On top of that Cat starts saying once things are already sculpted that she does not like wasting more time for them both.

The rest of the team seem to be doing alright with time management until Chloe starts having trouble with how to make weights for their character. She has tried several different kinds of product to make them and the time keeps ticking by, she decides then to sculpt them.

Application day and the frantic pace and panic that seems to always come with it shows up as well when George and Bethany find that their cowl has not turned out well and has some big flaws in it that they have to deal with. While Matt and Cat do not take the advice that they were given and go to dark with their makeup.

When it comes down to the completed looks there are some interesting choices in color pallets, some of them however would translate to a make up for real life. If you look at the tones and colors used in Daran & Tanner for example it would translate well as would Niko & Corrine’s.

So what did the judges think? They loved the design that Niko and Corrine did as well as Daran and Tanner, complimenting the painting and over all use of the time for both teams. They did not like George and Bethany’s work as well as Cat and Matt putting them in the bottom looks. In the end they decided that it would be Bethany who went home for her work this week and Corrine was the winner overall.
